This was a difficult thing for me to go through and your law firm handled it with class and dignity. I would be remiss if I didn't say that you were spectacular in the court room. Premises Liability (Slip & Fall)

Landowners have the responsibility to maintain and keep their property in a reasonably safe condition to avoid injuring those who are on the property.  Injuries from slip and fall cases can be very serious and generally occur when a person slips or trips due to an unsafe condition and, as a result, sustains a serious injury as a result of that fall.

These accidents can occur on any property, including apartment buildings, parking lots, public buildings, schools, hotels, casinos, restaurants, amusement parks and so on. The owners of the property and those responsible for maintaining it must act reasonably to ensure that any dangerous or hazardous conditions which they are aware of be remedied or fixed. Failure to do so can be grounds for a premises liability claim.
