Professional Experience
For the past 20 years, Kevin J. Miller has focused his practice within the areas of trusts and estates and corporate law.
With respect to trusts and estates, Mr. Miller provides estate planning recommendations for high net worth individuals and businesses, including Wills, trusts, succession planning for closely held businesses and medical practices and sophisticated income and estate tax research and planning; administration of high net worth trusts and estates; evaluation of fiduciary accountings, and settlement agreements. In addition, Mr. Miller has also represented and interacted with corporate and bank Trustees for administration, settlement and assistance for compliance with regard to changing New York fiduciary statutes.
Mr. Miller also assists with Surrogate's Court litigation, including Will contests, contested estate or trust accountings, and much more.
For business clients, Mr. Miller assists with asset and stock purchases; commercial real estate transactions; cost-benefit and tax analysis; as well as preparation of various agreements, including shareholder agreements; general business purchase and sale agreements.
Mr. Miller has also served as a financial planning consultant, providing comprehensive financial planning for high net worth individuals and businesses. He has provided a complete review and analysis of asset allocations, spending and accumulation needs, review of documentation for personal and corporate planning (i.e. Wills, trusts, shareholder agreements, retirement plan documentation, etc.). Additionally, Mr. Miller has reviewed balance sheets, income statements and other financial documents to determine appropriate planning considerations for both businesses and individuals.
