May 30 2007 - School bus crashes into dump truck

A student, teacher and bus driver were seriously injured today in a school bus crash in Western New York.

The crash occurred late this morning on Genesee County's Route 33 just west of Batavia, in between Buffalo and Rochester.

Police tell us a mini-bus collided with a dump truck.

The Le Roy high school students were on a high school field trip to a veterinary clinic in nearby Corfu.

14 people were on the bus. There were 10 students, 3 teachers, and the bus driver. All of the students parents have been notified.

Three people in serious condition were airlifted to Erie County Medical Center: the bus driver 69 year old John Peck, and two bus passengers, 18 year old Jeremy Perry and 31 year old Sue Lawrence.
