Mr. Gismondi is a trial lawyer who represents corporations, partnerships, small businesses, and individuals involved in legal disputes that require formal court action or arbitration. Mr. Gismondi works with a team of attorneys and legal staff in a wide range of civil cases involving business disputes, contracts, real property litigation, loan agreements, fraud, employment disputes, and construction law. He also serves as a legal advocate in administrative proceedings and devotes a portion of his time to appellate practice.
Mr. Gismondi works directly with clients to identify short - and long-term goals and to develop and implement efficient and modern legal strategies to achieve these goals. Mr. Gismondi's law firm utilizes the latest technology, methods, and legal concepts to provide clients with contemporary solutions to their legal matters. Detailed preparation, responsiveness to clients, and strategic planning are key aspects of his approach to problem solving.
Mr. Gismondi has been successful at all stages, including pretrial settlement negotiations, summary judgment motions, arbitrations, and trial. He has obtained large awards on behalf of clients who have pursued claims against others, and has successfully defended businesses and other clients in lawsuits filed by third parties.
Mr. Gismondi received a B.A. in Political Science from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Mr. Gismondi served as Articles Editor on the Board of Editors of the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and received the Dawn C. Beachnau Law Review Award in recognition for his service as Articles Director. He held an externship position with Judge Richard F. Suhrheinrich in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Mr. Gismondi co-authored a law review article in the area of constitutional law with Professors William Wagner and John S. Kane, entitled Physician-Assisted Killing Laws, Constitutional Authority, and the Conscience of a Nation: Two Worldviews, which is published at 24 T.M. COOLEY L. REV. 123 (2007). For the past 8 years, he has lectured at local universities and high schools on legal topics ranging from constitutional law to criminal justice.
Mr. Gismondi is a former singer and bassist with Buffalo Music Hall of Fame inducteeThe Boys of Summer Band. He was honored as the top pop/rock bassist at the 2009 Buffalo Music Awards, and was awarded top pop/rock bassist at the 2010, 2013, and 2014 Buffalo NightLife Music Awards.
