William A. Lorenz, Jr.



William A. Lorenz, Jr., joined HoganWillig as an Associate Attorney in the fall of 2013. He currently focuses his practice in the areas of Civil Litigation, Criminal Law, and Real Estate Law.

Mr. Lorenz brings a variety of legal experience with him to HoganWillig, having worked in the areas of civil litigation, criminal practice, family law, intellectual property law, landlord-tenant law, and real estate law. Since admission to the New York State Bar, Mr. Lorenz has appeared in courts in both Erie and Niagara County on various matters, including evictions and civil litigation. Recently, he lobbied in Albany for the Child Victims Act.

Mr. Lorenz obtained his B.A. in Political Science at Canisius College in 2009, where he was honorably named in the Who's Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges and was accepted into the college's Di Gamma Honor Society. He is a regular speaker at the Canisius College's Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, advising current students on their future careers in law. Mr. Lorenz obtained his J.D. at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 2012, with a concentration in property law.

While attending SUNY Buffalo Law School, Mr. Lorenz simultaneously coached and coordinated the first Mock Trial team for UB's chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, where he served as Justice, and competed in the Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Mr. Lorenz currently coaches the Canisius College Mock Trial team, which he helped create in 2006 as a Sophomore.
