William A. Lorenz, Jr. Admitted to Bar of the United States Supreme Court
Attorney William A. Lorenz, Jr., of the law firm HoganWillig, PLLC was admitted on June 5, 2017, to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court, the highest court in the nation.
Mr. Lorenz, who practices mainly in civil litigation, was one of 51 applicants admitted through a program offered by Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International. The professional organization has been offering members the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be admitted to the Supreme Court Bar since 1967. To be considered, an attorney must be in good standing with their State Bar, have been practicing law for at least three years, and be sponsored by attorneys already admitted. Fellow HoganWillig Attorney and Litigation Department Chair, Steven M. Cohen, sponsored Mr. Lorenz’s admission.
Mr. Lorenz has been a member of Phi Alpha Delta since 2005 when he joined the Pre-Law Chapter at Canisius College, serving as Captain of the College’s first Mock Trial team, Community Service Coordinator, and Vice President. While at SUNY Buffalo Law School, Mr. Lorenz joined the Law School Chapter, serving as Justice and Mock Trial Coach and Coordinator. Mr. Lorenz was recently elected Vice Justice of the organization’s Buffalo-Alumni Chapter and is an Adjunct Professor at Canisius College.
